About
South
Central
Ambassador
Tours
South
Central
Ambassador
Tours
(SCAT)
is
rooted
in
Rotary
and
youth
exchange.
SCAT
Tours
started
as a
function
of the
South
Central
Rotary
Youth
Exchange
(SCRYE),
a multi
district
affiliate
of
Rotary
International.
As a
result
of a
Rotary
International
policy
change,
the tour
services
within
SCRYE
transformed
into
South
Central
Ambassador
Tours.
The
tours
offered
by SCAT
are
still
very
similar
to the
those
created
by SCRYE
25 years
ago.
South
Central
Ambassador
Tours
was born
out of a
love for
Rotary
and a
dedication
to both
youth
and the
student
exchange
program
that
develops
them as
future
leaders.

Chuck
and
Nancy
Frazier
hosted
their
first
Rotary
youth
exchange
student
in 1981
--
Annette
from
Sweden.
Since
then,
the
Frazier's
have
been
honored
to host
many
Rotary
students
from all
over the
world in
their
home.
The
bonds
they
formed
with
students
have
lasted
decades,
truly
extending
their
family
ties.
The
Frazier's
enjoy
staying
in
contact
with
many of
their
exchange
'children'
as they
grow
into
adults,
attending
weddings,
and
making
trips to
visit
their
youth
exchange
'grandchildren'
every
few
years.
The
Frazier's
are in
their
16th
year
planning
bus
trips
for
Rotary
students.
Their
goal has
always
been to
give
these
special
world
ambassadors
experiences
that
deepen
the
understanding
of
American
culture
while
they
make
memories
and
friendships
that
last a
lifetime.
Over the
years
the tour
offerings
have
evolved
and
expanded.
Recently,
a spring
break
trip in
March
was
added to
the
'traditional'
14-day
summer
tours.
The
Frazier
can also
customize
tours
and
travel
events
for
students
and
districts.
The
Frazier's
recognize
that the
tours
could
not
happen
without
the
generous
support
the
experienced
adult
staff,
many of
whom are
fellow
Rotarians
and
school
teachers,
who give
up more
than 2
weeks of
their
personal
time to
to
ensure a
positive
experience
for our
students.
They
would
like to
recognize
and
express
their
gratitude
for the
contribution
of these
very
special
people.
v
The
Frazier's
have a
long
history
in
serving
their
local
and
global
community
through
Rotary.
They
have
participated
in
multiple
GSEs and
made
several
polio
immunization
trips to
Ghana,
West
Africa.
Chuck
was the
1998-99
Governor
of
District
5710 and
went on
to serve
in
various
Foundation
roles at
the
district,
regional,
and
international
levels.
Chuck
has
received
multiple
service
awards
including
Rotary
International's
highest
honor it
can give
a
member,
the
Service
Above
Self
Award.
v
Chuck
and
Nancy
have
been
married
nearly 43
years.
Before
retiring,
they
worked
side-by-side
for 28
years as
owners,
operators
and
photographers
for a
successful
portrait
studio .
In their
spare
time,
they are
often
found
outdoors
working
in their
gardens,
traveling
to visit
their
grandchildren,
or
following
the
winter
sun to
warmer
climates.
v
The
Frazier's
welcome
your
comments,
questions,
or
concerns.
